Ok, so I think I’ve been on hiatus long enough. They say that you’re not a real blogger if you only update once a week..and well, you’re not a blogger at all if your posts are sporadically spread out within the year. I’ve been struggling with the focus of this fashion blog until recently—my fashion blog will be a “behind-the-scenes” documentation of my fashion ventures…as an aspiring fashion public relations specialist. December has been an exciting month for celebrating birthdays, holidays, and the accomplishments we’ve set-out to succeed for the New Year. On Saturday, December 10, 2011 Nakate fashionably celebrated her 1-year anniversary.


The Nakate Project was started by Shanely Knox last December after her touching trip to Uganda.
“Nakate is an initiative working on the ground in a rural area of Uganda called the Nakasangola district,” Knox said. “Nakasangola is known for its poverty, its problem with AIDS, malaria and TB, witchcraft, drinking problems, polygamy, prostitution, and for its abuse of women and children.”
